My novel wandering as a word cloud

I couldn't resist pinching this from Calistro's blog. It's my novel (or at least the first 40,000 words) as a word cloud

My main character is obviously grabbing all the attention but I'm a bit alarmed about the size of 'said' - maybe my characters talk too much. Also interesting to see 'back' so huge as it was big on Cal's cloud too - what are they all doing 'looking back'? thinking back'? 'lying on their back'?- I'm going to check it out and maybe do a bit of search and replace.

If you want to submit your writing to the same go to: Wordle where there are also lots of example of stories that are much more balanced word wise than mine :o)

This looks like great fun - and yours could be a swarm of bees ...

I also found that on Calistro's blog, great fun. Mind you seeing yours threw me a bit as one of my books has a main character called Bea so I had to do a double take.

I can't make it work, annoyingly! Love the name Bea, though :o)

Helen - Is that a swarm of Beas :o) It was fun to do but I think I maybe need to work on my 'saids'

Debs - And there's me thinking I'd come up with a really original name! Isn't it funny how with some characters you can change their names at the drop of a hat (I've just had to change a Paul to Stephen because he clashed with Patrick) but Bea will always be Bea (unless a publisher makes it a condition of publication in which case I'm willing to think about it :o)

Karen - shame you couldn't get it to work - did you manage to view the gallery? it's interesting how very different some of them are (although 'back', 'said' and 'looked' are perennial favourites). Glad you like 'Bea' (see above)

Arrrgh, Wordle's down this evening. I can't wait to see your cloud (I saw Calistro's earlier).

As for names: Helen and I share the same mc name too! I did change a lesser character's name and it took me a year to get used to it!
